We were pioneers in this work that began 27 years ago with our strict ingredient standards - no artificial colors, flavorings or harmful chemical preservatives, no saccharin or aspartame, no irradiated foods, meats raised without the use of growth hormones and never fed animal by-products - and we continue our leadership today.
Our children are all involved in the business and are preparing to lead in the future. Our daughter Marcella, having completed her undergraduate studies at Princeton and earning her MBA from Stanford, serves on our Board of Directors. Abraham, who has just completed his undergraduate degree from Ohio University, is joining our management team full-time; and Gabe is attending college and works summers in the meat department in our Montrose store. We are very proud of all of our children.
