Job Summary

Supervises daily operating procedures of the Market Kitchen. Trains, delegates work assignments to Service Staff and communicates any disciplinary issues with Service Staff. · Delegates work assignments effectively to Market Kitchen Servers and supervises their work; handles disciplinary action as needed with the direction and guidance of Store Director/Director of Culinary Services.

· Trains Service Staff and creates weekly work schedules

· Oversees department operations, Salad Bar Set up, Hot Soup Set Up, Sandwich Preparations, Deli Case display and packaging, Bakery Packaging, and Pizza preparations.

· Provides prompt and courteous customer service.

· Handles all hot and cold foods appropriately during preparation and service times, safety and sanitation practiced continually.

· Ensures all food and supplies are stored under proper conditions, covered, labeled, and dated.

· Ensures retail area is stocked, cleaned, organized, and restocked throughout the shift, and that items are properly dated.

· Ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively as per standards. 

· Maintains Food Safety Records such as Time Temperature Charts, Production & Shrink Logs

· Follows and Trains standard company recipes.

· Maintains department area in a clean and orderly manner.

· Cleans equipment as assigned thoroughly and in a timely manner.

· Monitors customer buying trends and makes relevant recommendations for product additions and deletions.

· Accurately inventories supplies daily and requisitions items needed to meet par levels.

· Relays relevant comments from customers directly to Store Director/Director of Culinary Services.

Job Summary

Provides leadership in the Customer Service Department by directing and managing the associates and activities of the Customer Service Department. Ensures excellent customer service to stimulate the growth of the business. Responsibilities include maintaining proper internal controls for all customer financial transactions, managing the Customer Service Desk (refunds, exchanges, product questions, customer complaints, feedback, etc.) and receiving and handling incoming phone calls to the store.

• Air-dries all items before storing. Stores in neat fashion and rotates stock so all items are used regularly.

We are looking for an enthusiastic server to join our team as a Full-Time Food Runner for our Highland Square Cafe! If you enjoy a fast-paced environment, front-facing food service, and customer service, apply now! Please note that this is a tipped position.

Candidates MUST be able to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings. Our Cafe opens weekdays at 11:00 AM and Saturday/Sunday at 9:00 AM. Shifts start approximately an hour to a half hour before open, depending on the day of the week. 

Candidates also MUST be willing to learn the Barista responsibilities as well. Any previous coffee service is a huge plus!

This is a limited part-time position on a set schedule that will have a hybrid day working as a server in our Deli Market.

The dishwashing schedule is Saturday & Sunday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

The deli server day is flexible and can be either 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

• Scrapes all pans and pre-washes before putting into washing machine. When washing is completed, empties tank, cleans inside and out with soapy water.
• Washes pots by hand using prescribed amounts of soap and disinfectant. Ensures all food, grease, and residue is removed. Changes water as needed for best results.
• Air-dries all items before storing. Stores in neat fashion and rotates stock so all items are used regularly.
• Maintains pot and pan storage area including surrounding floors and walls.
• Maintains a sanitary workstation.
• Helps keep kitchen area clean and helps keep trash off the floor.
• Sweeps, washes or mops entire Market Kitchen floor as directed and before end of shift.
• Removes all trash to appropriate areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities (Deli Server)

• Greets and serves customers promptly and courteously.
• Handles all hot and cold foods appropriately during preparation and service, ensures proper sanitation practices occur continually.
• Maintains appropriate portion control and merchandising standards during service.
• Maintains post check out area.
• Cleans equipment as assigned thoroughly and in a timely manner.
• Monitors customer buying trends and makes relevant recommendations to supervisor for product additions and deletions.
• Accurately inventories supplies daily and requisitions items needed to meet par levels.
• Ensures all food and supplies are stored under proper conditions, covered, labeled, and dated.
• Stocks retail area, assists Cooks with display refrigerators and salad bar.
• Ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively as per standards.
• Informs cooks in a timely manner when food quantities are low.
• Relays relevant comments from customers directly to supervisor.
• Maintains standard operating procedures in accordance with company policy, guidelines and outside licensed and certification authorities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

Works in a non-smoking, normal store environment where there is not physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, etc.
